We follow Jesus as we worship, learn and serve one another and our neighbor joyfully.
Our Parent Handbook outlines the policies and procedures for the program.
Preschool and Kindergarten will continue to use the Blest Are We series. The DRE would like to switch over to The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, similar to Montessori but for Religion, as soon as training is available and we can start our own ‘”Atria.”
Grades 1-6 use the Faith and Life Series from Saint Ignatius Press. Our catechists are encouraged to use their creativity to supplement the books with material gleaned from other sources, in compliance with the Diocese of Harrisburg curriculum. http://www.hbgdiocese.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Curriculum-By-Grade.pdf
Eighth grade will complete the program “Chosen,” a dynamic interactive video-based program from Ascension Press. Seventh grade will begin Decision Point, a program from Dynamic Catholic that is available for free download on the web.
Classes for Grades 9 to 12 will meet for six sessions three times this year. The first six session course is Altaration, a video-based program on the Mass. The second session will be on developing healthy relationships and the last session is to be announced.
