How can I join St. Rose of Lima’s Parish community?
We welcome all new parishioners to our family. Membership is achieved through a registration process with our parish office. Please call (717) 846-4935 to provide the necessary information. Regular office hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. A member of our Welcoming Ministry will also be in touch with you to provide further information about the activities and services of the parish.
What time are masses held at St. Rose of Lima?
Sundays: 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m.
(mass at school), and 11:30 a.m.
Mondays: 8:30 a.m.
Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m.
Wedensday:8:30 a.m.
Thursday: 8:30 a.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.
Saturday: 5:00 p.m.
NOTE: Every Tues and on the first Friday of each month the 8:30 mass is held at school when school is in session.
When are Holy Days of Obligation celebrated?
The Church's Holy Days of Obligation include:
January 1-the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God;
Thursday of the Sixth Week of Easter - Solemnity of the Ascension;
August 15- Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary;
November 1 - Solemnity of All Saints;
December 8- Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception;
December 25-Solemnity
of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Typically, St. Rose of Lima Parish
celebrates a 6pm Vigil Mass, 8:30am Mass at the school in Thomasville,
12:10pm and 7pm Mass at the church on these days. Whenever Jan. 1, Aug.
15 or Nov. 1 falls on a Saturday or Monday, the precept to attend Mass

When can I receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation?
Wednesdays from 9:00-10:00 am and Saturdays from 3:30-4:30 pm.
I am interested in having my child baptized. How do I schedule this?
The Sacrament of Baptism is held the 1st Sunday of the month and 3rd Saturday of the month. Baptism classes are held for parents and are scheduled through the parish office. Please call the parish office for more information.
I am interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church. What do I need to do?
St. Rose of Lima’s Religious Education Office oversees the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Interested candidates should contact Sr. Jane Keller, our Director of Religious Education, at (717) 843-3043. Interested candidates participate in classes held from September through May on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm. Depending on the size and needs of the group, classes may be held on Sunday mornings as well.
How do I arrange for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick or to schedule Communion to the sick?

How do I plan a wedding at St. Rose of Lima?
Arrangements for the Sacrament of Matrimony are to be made with a priest at least one year in advance. Please call the parish office to do so.
I am interested in possibly registering my child at St. Rose of Lima School. Can I set up a tour or visit there?
St. Rose of Lima School prepares students to positively impact the world around them by providing a community of love and faith that facilitates each child’s unique intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical growth. You do not have to be a member of St. Rose of Lima parish to attend the school. Please call the school office at (717) 792-0889 for more information or to schedule a tour.
How can I sign up my child for CCD/religious education classes?
In order to participate in religious education, your family should first be a registered member of the parish. After registration with the main office, you can call the religious education office at (717) 843-3043 to register for classes. Classes for ages 3 through high school run from September to May and are generally held on Sunday mornings between mass times. Those preparing for the sacraments attend classes on Wednesday evenings. I have been asked to be a Godparent or Sponsor. How do I get a letter of eligibility?
Letters of Eligibility for sponsorship for Baptism or Confirmation will be issued only to those who have been registered in the parish for at least three months and who participate in the life of our parish community. Please call the parish office to inquire.
